This pool area was neglected and tired with no useable entertaining space for the client. The overgrown bushes and noxious trees and galvanised pool fencing were unsightly and removed. The pool was then drained for safety purposes and for the renovation work to commence.

 

The land slopes away from this end of the pool and to address this and provide a level area, a small platform was built and the new deck, pool fencing and pergola were built on it. Decorative screens from Bunnings were used around two sides of the pergola and clear, double wall panels also applied keeping the pergola area dry and furniture protected during the winter months. The addition of a remote control fan and lighting also extends the the time this area can be used through the year. Furniture and cushion colours were chosen to work harmoniously with the main colour palette used for the overall pool renovation.

This pool area is unrecognisable from what is was prior to the renovation. Reusing materials and clever solutions kept costs down on this project. The family now enjoy using their pool and entertaining area throughout the year and couldn't be happier with the result.
